 Egg poaching bags

While at a wedding in San Diego, I stopped at an an all natural / organic restaurant.  The whole meal was awesome, but the thing I remember most was the ingenious way that they poached their eggs!   They didn’t have the usual shape so I asked the waitress and she let me in on their little secret, egg poaching bags!   Eggs are a healthy and low fat treat (less fat if you just use the egg whites).  They are a great way to increase your protein intake without the excess carbs, and unnecessary fat.  This video below shows the egg poaching bags in action.  The best part about it is that you don’t have to peel anything!

Benefits of Using the Egg Poaching Bags

  • No unnecessary use of oil, butter or lard

  • No Mess!  You won’t have to peel and dispose of the shells!

  • Quick and Easy

  • Cheap, don’t waste another dime on expensive egg substitutes to get your low calorie fix

Trainer Tip –    To lean up even further, crack the egg, separate out the egg yolk, and cook only the egg whites.  Each egg white contains 16 calories which makes for a great low calorie, high protein treat.

Don’t forget the spices!!  Eating healthy is rewarding but can also be bland! Figure out what you like and use it with your egg poaching bags!
