What Makes The “Bender Ball” So Great?

dyna disc

I watched the Bender Ball on TV.  Since I didn’t have one of my own I used a dyna disk to mimic the movements in the gym with clients.  To my surprise it was a huge hit!  The disc allowed the body to extend and contract in a full range of motion.  Over time, I added more and more movements in a circuit fashion.  The disk gave my clients outstanding results and some of the flattest and strongest abs in the gym.

Allow though my addaption to this exercise tool was a hit.  I couldn’t help buyinig the bender ball when I saw it on sale in the store.  At home, I did the same exercises at home that I did with the disk in the gym.  This is what I found…

  • The ball was actually easier then the disk ( sorry clients ;)  hehe)
  • The ball actually helped you do some of the movements because it       allowed you to bounce during some exercises.
  • Balancing on the ball could be challenging.  However, the disk               could be challenging as well.
  • The disc is flatter so it allows a more natural arch in the back.  The     ball actually hurt my back.
  • Although the bender ball doesn’t have the same intensity as the disc.  It’s very clear that the method this trainer created does work.  It’s just on an easier scale.  For most people who haven’t been exercising consistently, this would be a great tool to give you results and get you moving.
