Janet Jackson Is The New Face Of Nutrisystem

We have seen Janet struggle through the years with her weight.  In the most recent ad for Nutrisystem, Jackson seems to open up to the audience.

“What’s so funny, and can be so frustrating is that we all want success, and we all want to be happy, but what stops me is when I don’t have a plan,” Janet explains in the ad. “I understand what it’s like to have weight issues. I’ve dealt with it all my life.”

I was luck enough to see Janet’s last concert.  It became clear to me that her physical fitness wasn’t the issue with her ongoing weight problems.  The concert it’s self was like one long cardio routine.  Jackson moved as if she was still in her twenties!  As a trainer, I know that exercise is only part of the battle, food is the other 80%.

Janet outlines that part of her struggle with her weight is based on having a “Plan…

“There is a secret to success. It’s very simple. You can’t wish for what you want, hope for what you want, just dream about what you want. You have to have a plan, and then you have to get on it,” she concludes.

 

Her interview on “The Today Show,” revealed that her poor body image stemmed from the early 70’s while on the show “Good Times.”

   I happen to LOVE Janet Jackson, so of course I am rooting for her!   The beats in her music also make for great the best play lists while working out!  If you love her as much as I do then share this fitness tip with your friends.  Sometimes, feeling as though a celebrity is struggling just as much as you, makes all the difference.
