I know. Are you freaking? You probably almost killed yourself in your “Tred and Shed” class this am because you were in “#BeastMode”, and now I’m basically saying that won’t help with those extra pounds you’re trying to lose.
The reason I’m writing this post is because there is something to say about not working out 5 to 7 days a week. Try once every 2 weeks, like my sister.
My sister is a bombshell, don’t worry I don’t have any sister rivalry going on because I’m a bombshell too, in a different way. I digress, the thing that’s most amazing about my sister and her bombshell face and body is that she DOES NOT WORK OUT…ever. Okay, wait, maybe she’ll bike ride to Trader Joe’s, once every 2 weeks. It’s true. Alexis is in great shape and pretty much doesn’t work out, and eats McDonald’s pretty frequently.
Are you guys okay? I know, seems unfair. I would normally say it’s her metabolism, which part of that may be true, but she’s not 18 or 21 for that matter! So I think it may have something to do with her lack of exercise.
Fit Fact #1: The post-workout pastry to celebrate a job well done – or even a few pieces of fruit to satisfy your stimulated appetite, actually undoes your good work at the gym.
You know sometimes when you’re working out like crazy, you’re also eating like crazy?
FitTip #1: Alexis does not eat like crazy. Yes, she’ll have McDonald’s, but she’ll have a happy meal and she won’t EVER keep eating after her happy meal. More food equals more pounds.
On the flip side, I LOVE working out. It releases endorphins and let’s be honest, we all need more of those!
Also, if you don’t work out like Alexis you may be thin and bomshell-eske, but you also lack muscle.
Fit Fact #2: Exercise boosts metabolism. Yes, you’ll lose fat when you diet without exercising, but you’ll also lose muscle, which means you’ll burn fewer calories. The more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism and the more calories you’ll torch.
I know. WHAT TO DO? To work out or not to work out, that is the question!
My advice is to work out for your health, not for your exterior. It’s great to look great, but to feel great is priceless! Everyone is different, find out what works for you. Keep in mind that portion size can make or break a healthy diet.
WERK it out,
