Meet The Authors!

Amanda is a high school science teacher, specializing in all biological sciences. She grew up playing team sports year round from a young age. Eventually Amanda competed at the high school level in state championship tournaments for volleyball, basketball, and softball. Since leaving high school Amanda has played in competitive adult leagues for softball, basketball, volleyball and indoor soccer. Amanda recently moved to the San Diego area and has taken her fitness to the outdoors, enjoying mountain biking, beach volleyball, hiking and stand-up paddle boarding. During a recent spring break trip Amanda and her fiance hiked from the rim of the Grand Canyon to the Colorado River and back in one day, a total of 18.5 miles, which she considers her greatest athletic adventure yet.
