This female sportscaster, Good Morning America correspondent and dancing with the star finalist, Erin Andrews became the newest face of Reebok’s Zig Techs. The Tv adds, new print, and online advertising will hit this March.
“I’m very excited to be the first female to become part of Reebok’s ZigTech campaign, joining superstars like Peyton Manning, Sidney Crosby, John Wall, Chad Ochocinco, and many more,” said Andrews. “I have been athletic all my life, and I’m thrilled to be working out in the same footwear and apparel that helps these athletes perform at the top of their game.”
“Erin Andrews is the perfect fit for our women’s ZigTech footwear and apparel collection because she is a passionate sports and fitness enthusiast who is inspirational to women nationwide,” said Reebok’s Head of Women’s for the US, Kristen Olson. “It takes extreme energy to be Erin, and Zig technology is just what she needs for working out (source).”
Users say that this pattern also helps to propel you forward. This unique feature makes the shoe ideal for athletes and “gym goers.” The top portion of the shoes is light and “roomie” which is great for running and ventilation. The zig pattern works to aid in the “heel strike” during running. ZigTech helps to transfer weight through the whole range of motion by pushing the force of the strike through to the front of your foot. This helps to move you forward. Reebok claims the shoe “causes up to 20% less wear and tear on key leg muscles, especially the sins and hamstrings (source).”
In March 2011 Zig Tech will also be releasing Zig Tech apparel. This inventive woven material called Celliant, aides to increase oxygen levels. As a result increased levels of oxygen helps athletes and gym goers to workout at more intense levels. Could our original prediction be correct? Could Zigtech be the Revival of Reebok???
