I couldn’t count the number of people that have approached me in the gym and asked how to reduce one section of their body. Whether it’s their stomach, butt, thighs or neck (yes you read it right; I said neck). You can not spot reduce! However, you can exercise a specific part of your body to firm it up and add shape. In order to see definition (or tone) you must change your diet to rid yourself of extra body fat.
This doesn’t keep numerous fitness gurus from releasing countless fitness gadgets all in hopes to “hit it big” and pray on the people that still believe in spot reducing.
While reading through the local sales paper, I came across the “Bun & Thigh Doer.” I went online and looked up some reviews of this product and here is what I found…

Poor quality is made in China, terrible customer service, and the WORST dvd routine ever! the guy is so stupid that made me sick, so I try it myself. The resistant bands were made for someone who has no training at all,to me it was like nothing, so I got the red ones, the higher level and guess what? one of them broke in a week. The machine moves not a lot for me because I am light, but with more weight it must be impossible. Thanks God I didn’t get it from their site so I pay half of that money, but anyway is a waste. Better done and with a better routine it can work, but the way it was done for sure it doesn’t really.
This is the worst !!!!

My wife made the mistake of buying this worthless piece of garbage. Very cheaply made. We both hated it, so we decided to send it back. We called customer service and sent it back to the address the CSR gave us. It came back 1 week later, they refused to accept it. I called customer service & they informed me that we sent it to the wrong address. After telling them they gave us the address, they said that the 30 days were up & we would have to keep it…they would not bend. Now, I thought that last month was the last payment (299.94 total) until they took another pymnt out this week, causing 2 checks to bounce, for a bank charge of $70, & an additional 49.90. This piece of crap has cost me $414.84 so far & we only tested it. Don’t do business with these people, they have a lousy product, and the money back guarantee is non-existent. I will be calling the BBB today.
It’s the Best I’ve ever tried!

I am actually a living testimonial to John Abdo’s bun and thigh Doer. I used this product and the eating plan and some light aerobics on my days off and I lost 12 pounds very quickly. This product is simple and comfortable to use and targets each of my muscles as other exercises have hurt my body. Give it a try it worked for me and I’m over 40 (source).”
Notice that the person who gave it a good review followed the nutritional plan that came with the machine. This could be why she had such great success!
Based on the construction of this piece of equipment; it’s easy to see that the standard resistance band would not hold up over time or repetitive use. Next time you are up at 3 am watching infomercials check the internet reviews before picking up that phone.
