As you can imagine, I live in my gym clothes. I wear it for my own workouts, for my clients workouts and the random times in between. I have tried every brand from Nike, to Adidas, to Lulu Lemon. While these brands are amazing in their own right, they didn’t capture this season’s best leggings award. Hopefully, if you haven’t heard of this brand already, you’ll go searching for it after this article.
I base my reviews of clothing on these 4 key points.
Seams: How well do the seam hold up to my daily grind of cardio and personal training.
Color: Does the product fade with every wash or does it retain it’s color for the long haul.
Stretching: For most exercise leggings they will have an elastic quality about them. Over time the elastic will stretch.
Style: This wouldn’t be an amazing award if it didn’t address the style and cut of the leggings 😉
Pricing: If you can’t afford them you won’t be wearing them SO affordability is also high on our list!
The Best Leggings Award Goes to …….
MPG Active Wear !
Here’s why they for best leggings won!
Seams: I have had very few issues with the seams on my many pairs of mpg leggings. After a year of use I see some minor fraying due to wear and tear. This appears only on one pair and it’s due to tons of use during cycling class 😉 I give them a 4 our of 5 stars on this one!
Color: The color has lasted and lasted. I also try to hang dry them and use color safe detergent to extend the life of the fabric.
Stretching: Minimal (if any) stretching. Since I hang dry them, I will occasionally put them in the drier on low heat to shrink them up a bit. However, this isn’t due to to stretching, this is because I lost some inches 😉
Style: I LOVE the waist bands on all of these pants! They are edgy and they work as an instant tummy tuck. Low rise is great, but there is something to be said for pants that allow you to move comfortably.
If you are looking for “edgy” fitness gear, MPG has it all. Stand out patterns, great cuts, and amazing designs. I secretly love my little pockets in my crop running pants.
Pricing: Online these pants rang anywhere from 30 – 65 dollars. The best part is that you can find them in store all over the nation. I was luck enough to find mine on sale. When I tried them on, I knew they were a steal!
They offer everything that Lulu Lemon pants offer, at a fraction of the price!
