Most people think they need to make changes to their diet and exercise when they begin to get a beer belly. However researchers have now proven that something as simple as a “Muffin Top,” can have an impact on your life span.

Muffin Top – The layer of fat that gets pushed out over the waistline of your pants, hence, creating the look of a muffin top.
The experiment was preformed on 100,000 people over the age of 50. It showed that an increased waiste line also contributes to breast cancer, dementia, heart disease and asthma.
Bulging bellies are a problem for most Americans older than 50. It’s estimated that more than half of older men and more than 70 percent of older women have bigger waistlines than recommended. And it’s a growing problem: Average waistlines have expanded by about an inch per decade since the 1960s (source).
If you are a male and have a waistline of over 40 inches then you are at risk. If you’re a woman, and your waiste is over 35 inches then it’s time to hit the gym!
