With the passing of James Gandolfini, most known for his portrayal of Tony Soprano on HBO’s The Sopranos, it really had me thinking about my health. Here in LA we get so caught up with how we look rather than how we feel. At the end of the day you want to live a healthy life and that doesn’t always mean having smaller thighs. It’s the inside that counts. I know, I sound like a life coach, but it’s always the inside that counts.
James Gandolfini’s passing also hit close to home being that I’m an actress. I know. Surprising right?!
Seriously though, he was a great actor and maybe if he would have taken a little better care of himself he would still be with us. Not to mention, today my dear grandpa was getting one of his arteries checked out because he has a blockage, seems like that blockage was bigger than we thought and he now needs surgery to clean it up.
Ugh. Downer. But you can do something today, right now in fact to insure you don’t have to be like my grandpa or James Gandolfini. Decide to make a change.
Change something. Either skip that extra cheese on your sandwich or go for a run.
FitTip Fact #1: Faster Footsteps equal a healthier heart!
Yup. I know, sometimes I cringe of the thought of running, but what’s a 20 minute run? Think about how quickly 20 minutes happen in your day. Come on people, there’s 24 HOURS in your day, run for 20 MINUTES!
Okay, still not budging? Just walk, BRISKLY.
FitTip Fact #2: Walking for 2 hours per week reduces inflammation in the body!
Whoop! See, that’s doable!
So technically, instead of running for 20 minutes a couple of times a week, just walk for a little less than 20 minutes per day, every day, and then you’ll have your 2 hours a week complete.
Do it, your heart will thank you!
Heavy Heart,
Bianca
