Are you congested right now, so much so that it’s hard to call it allergies anymore because it’s pretty much a cold at this point?
Welcome to the cold season!
Ugh! I hate this time of year, I hardly ever get a cold, but when I do it’s right when it’s officially turning into winter in LA.
Laugh all you want, but we do actually get season here. Okay, so 59 degrees isn’t that cold, but when you’re use to 70 degrees ALWAYS, it’s hard when it drops below that!
I digress.
So I’m on day 3 of allergies turned cold and I’m kind of in purgatory because I’m afraid to go to the gym.
What? Don’t you believe the old myth that if you work out or do any exercise you will get sicker?
Fit Tip Fact #1: If you have a cold, not the flu then you can do some mild exercise!
Yayayayayyay!
Okay, what is technically a cold and not a flu you ask?!
Fit Tip Fact #2: Anything above the neck is considered a cold. That’s right, if you just have a sore throat and congestion, then work it out!
Now, if you have the chills, body ache and a fever do NOT work OR twerk it out.
You’re probably asking yourself what constitutes as a mild work out…
You Tube has you covered!
I know right? So now you don’t have to worry about getting the F word!
Fit Tip Fact #3: You burn more calories when you’re sick.
This is a teaser for my next post.
In the meantime, don’t go outside, stay in and get fit with your cold in tow. Who knew “mild exercises” were a real thing…well I was hoping they were.
Hot and Mild,
Bianca
