You know those old women’s gyms from way back called Curves? Well they are BACK and this time they brought their secret weapon, Jillian Michaels. The Biggest Loser Trainer and Fitness Guru is making some huge changes to this prehistoric chain. Jillian Michaels teaming up with Curves could cause a positive and lasting wave in women’s fitness if it catches on!
Why did Curves Go Out?
The main problem that I saw with Curves was that the workouts never changed, and within 2-3 months the average woman began to adapt to the exercises. For those of you who aren’t familiar, curves is run in a circuit training type fashion. You do 60 seconds of each machine. Within months, women would drop out and then chain began to dwindle. It was also apparent that Curves was not updating their equipment so it became outdated fast.
What Changes has Jillian Michaels Made to Curves?
According the the ads, Jillian has added in some new exercises to make sure you don’t plateau. The exercises incorporate balance, strength, and body weight training.
Curves Reviews with the new Jillian Michaels Routine
The average rating is 4.7 out of 5 stars for this new Curves routine. I sifted through several pages of the reviews and there were some complaints but they were mostly about staff, locations, and hours. Very few of them complained about Jillian’s exercise routine.
