The pressure that goes along with being a celebrity can be pretty intense. To know that millions of people are watching you, your fashion sense, your diet, and your body has to be very taxing. Khloe Kardashian is definitely a different build from her other two sisters. Over the years she has been bashed by other celebrities, gossip columnists, and magazines for being too big. It has also been said that she is not genetically related to the Kardashian family. How mean can people be!!!
To put the chatter to rest Khloe got a DNA test to prove that she was indeed one of the Kardashians. She also shed an amazing amount of weight with the help of QuickTrim. Yet, still after she has lost 20 lbs she still gets bullied by the public for being too big.
“Everyone criticizes me about my weight all the time. It’s easy for me to be like some other girls in Hollywood — not eat and become anorexic — but thank goodness I am strong-willed and secure with myself,” Khloe said in October, 2009. “When I was a chunky little 8-year-old and I had these two beautiful sisters, I’d wonder, why don’t I look like that? Now I hate it when people compare me to my sisters (source)”
Khloe realized that she could never be her sisters size or frame but she could be a thinner version of herself. She claims that her sisters have been her “Safe Spot.”
“When I was at home, I felt loved and safe,” she says in this month’s Life&Style mag. “My sisters were always a safe haven for me. I knew they would always play with me and make me feel like I was one of them.”
This article is so much like life! The middle school or high school kid gets picked on for being overweight. It’s important for everyone to have that “safe spot” in their life. Whether it’s due to your weight, or any other reason knowing that you are accepted for who you are can transform you into a stronger person. If you are struggling with your weight we hope that you gain inspiration from this article as we did from Khloe.
