I predict that these gyms will put several major chains out of buisness. As consumers, we are all aware of Madonna’s addiction for exercise. In many cases, this is the closest anyone will ever get to Madonna. This Idol like figure has put her imprint on America with her music and now she is at it again. However, this time she’s making a positive imprint on your body.
Her first gym will open in Mexico City. The Name of the new gym line is called “Hard Candy.” 10 gyms are set to open around the world. The lucky countries include Russia, Brazil, Argentina, Europe and Asia. It seems the United States will have to wait.
“Our goal is to create an environment inspired by Madonna’s vision and high standards of what the ideal gym would be. Hard Candy Fitness will be a reflection of Madonna’s point of view and will reflect her input on every detail including music space, light and other design cues. Madonna’s touch will be everywhere,” stated NEV Chairman Mark Mastrov(source).
A little insight (from the quote above), Mark Mastrov, the new chairman of “Hard Candy” is also the founder of 24 hour fitness. Could it be that the number one gym in the U.S. is giving Madonna the inside scoop on what makes a fitness facility Successful and profitable?
Although the fitness equipment inside the gym, as well as the emendities have not been disclosed we have a rough idea of what might be seen inside based on her exercise history. Lets take a guess at what might be seen in these high end gyms..
- Definately state of the art cardio equipment and the newest innovations in weight lifting.
- Pilates contraptions
- Spa like qualities including high end youth serums and massage
- Towel Service
- Only the best locker rooms equipt with steam shows, jacuzzi, steam rooms etc.
- Awesome upbeat music
- Cutting edge classes with advanced yoga, pilates, possibly hip hop classes????
- TRX systems in every corner
- Power Plates
I’m sure these gyms will surprise us all. However, we might have to put a second mortgage on our house to become members. There is no news as to how much these memberships will cost as of yet. For now everyone will have to wait and see what is ahead for this cutting edge facility. What are you willing to pay to become a member???
