Work outs! That is all. Seriously, I don’t envy ANYTHING else. But she’s been ranting about her 44 pound weight loss to People Magazine. That’s right, 44 pounds! I’m jelly.
Looking good. Snooki is so Latina, because her and I have a cardio common thread, we’re both loving Zumba!
Snooki says here favorite class is her “Buns and Guns” ZUMBA class. I think it’s the Chilean in her. Zumba makes me feel so much closer to my Hispanic roots, it is definitely my favorite form of cardio as well Snook!
Snooki says she trains with her trainer 4 times a week for an hour and then tries to do 1 hour of cardio after each work out. Which leads me to the reason for this post:
Can one work out too much?!
First, I would like to say that I am a firm believer in the 80/20 rule.
80% diet, 20% exercise.
BUT, I do see more results when I do some cardio and eat right. So, is there such thing as working out too much?
Here’s a break down, if you work out too much you’re:
*Tired
*Achy
*Low Immune System
HENCE: Stressed!
Stress causes you to produce more Cortisol and this hormone can cause your body to store more FAT when it’s stressed out!
(GASP) That horrible 3 letter word!
But it’s true. Although Snooki is looking good, perhaps she would see more results if she toned it down a bit. No pun intended.
Life Rule/FitTip #1: Quality over quantity.
So tune into your Corti-SOUL.
