Vitamin water and coke have cornered the market with this ingenious advertising and vitamin based drinks that promise things like “focus, energy, and antioxidants. However one consumer believes that these claims are false and that if he would have known the effects of this drink on his body, he would have rather had an actual coke!
The claim against vitamin water is that these drinks are supposed to be healthy, yet they contain as much sugar as a normal soft drink without the carbonation. So what about those valuable vitamins?? Again, this could be false as well depending upon what your eating. For those who know nutrition, vitamins A, E, K, and D can only be absorbed from this drink if you are eating fat at the same time as consuming this beverage!
Taking a closer look…. Each vitamin water contains 125 calories and 2 heaping tablespoons of sugar. I’m not sure if this lawsuit will be in favor of the consumer for the mere fact that he should have actually read the label on the bottle! However, it is an eye opener and I am sure that they will be changing their marketing strategy.
