Oh fall, how I love you! Not only do you make working out in nature easier due to perfect temperatures, but you also provide us with fruits and veggies that taste more delicious than ever!
Do you feel the same way?!
Come on, don’t try to pretend you don’t have warm fuzzy feelings for fall.
Okay, fine. On a serious note, there are many foods that keep our waistline in check while also caressing our palates and these are a few of my fall favs:
Arugula: Only 25 calories per serving, fights cancers like: ovarian, colon, prostate and breast AND an excellent source of Vitamin A. Just so you know, Vitamin A helps with cell growth AKA more muscle building, so arugula is the way to go to tone it up!
Garlic: I LOVE garlic! It is its sweetest during the fall. We all know how good garlic is for us, but did you know eating garlic helps keep fat off?! It’s true, the oils in garlic help loosen fat in our bodies hence getting rid of it, hence less fat! YAY!
Beets: Beets are a cleansing tonic for the liver and they’re filled with vitamins! I bet you didn’t know they’re also a natural aphrodisiac! Say what?! Thank me later.
Sweet Potato: I can’t say enough good stuff about Sweet Potatoes. I’m about to break down why I love them: FIBER. They have twice as much fiber as any other potato. Yup.
Fit Fact: You must eat the skin to get the maximum fiber intake. It’s tasty, do it!
Last, BUT NOT LEAST:
Pumpkin: Not only is it high in fiber like it’s orange cousin, sweet potato, but the Iron levels are through the roof. Iron helps with muscle contraction AKA if you’re lifting weights you need iron in your body!
Looking at all of my Fall Fit Foods, these would all make a delish salad, just need some protein and I’m set.
Anyone want to cook for me?
Stay Hungry,
Bianca
