5 Foods You Should Cut Out Of Your Diet

July 8, 2010 by Adria Ali Leave a Comment

Certain things in your diet can promote disease, break down your immune system, increase bacteria and increase body fat.  So who would willingly eat these foods and ruin their bodies from the inside out????  Billions!

High Fructose Corn Syrup –  Sure it’s natural.  Sure it comes from corn, however, it very processed and seems to be in tons of foods!  A short lost is syrups, sodas, cereals, fruit juice, cookies and jams.  There is exactly NO nutritional value.

Sugar – One cup of granulated sugar has 774 calories.  Over time, without exercise this could pack on the pounds in a very short amount of time.  You would have to exercise for an hour and a half to burn of this amount of sugar.

Enriched Flours – Flour may seem harmless but it is just as bad as eating sugar.  Enriched refers to “white” flours such as breads, pastas, and desserts.  However, even what bread has enriched flour so don’t be flood by appearances.

Trans Fats – On food labels these read “hydrogenated” or “partially hydrogenated” fat.  These man made fats increase LDL cholesterol (the ones that build up in your arteries) and can lead to heart disease.  You can find these kinds of fats in very processed foods such cakes, desserts, margarine, chips and many more.

Saturated Fats – These are solid fats like butter, and animal fats.  These clog arteries and increase cholesterol levels.  Although you are supposed to have 20 grams per day of saturated fats, you should try to get your fats from healthy sources such as olive oil, avocados, and nuts.

Avoiding these food can help you to achieve a leaner body, keep you free from disease, increase you natural immune system and cut down on mood swings created by sugar highs and lows.
