If you have an event coming up, a day at the beach, a vacation, or just daily life, you can use these fitness tips to ensure that your stomach stays as flat as possible. Many forget that the foods we consume all have different properties that can inflame us, add bloating, and make us swell. So here are the top 4 foods to avoid if you want a flatter stomach fast!
SALT
Seems reasonable right? However, salt is in everything. SO try to avoid processed meats, cheeses, and preserved food that are canned and packaged. Among these, canned meats such as tuna and chicken can also be the culprit to unwanted water retention.
Cruciferous Vegetables
These include kale, broccoli, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts. While these are great sources of vitamins and minerals, they also are huge producers of gas. Cruciferous veggies are also packed with fiber so try to keep your servings small or opt for a different vegetable choice all together. If you are trying to fit into that bikkini or that little black dress you may want to avoid them all together or take a product like Beano that will help you digest vegetables (not just beans).
Soda
This may be a “no brainer” but extra fizz in your drink adds extra bloat in your gut. Swallowing that extra air ends up making it’s way to your stomach and intestines. Cut it down or cut it out to get a flatter stomach fast!
Artificial Sweeteners & Diet Food
Fake foods are out and real foods are in. Artificial Sweeteners and “Diet Foods” don’t agree with the digestive tract because the body see them as foreign foods. It responds by trying to force the “poison” out of the body with excess gas, water (bloating) and excess acids. Eek! Avoid these at all costs if you are getting ready for a big day or event!
Fitness Tips : Stay away from sugar free gum, aspartame, sucralose, diet sodas and other product with a HUGE list of ingredients. Shoot for whole foods that are unprocessed.
Carbs Are Not Always Your Friend
While carbohydrates are necessary for life, over consumption of them are a big “no no” when you want a flatter stomach. This is because carbohydrates literally pull water into the cells when you eat them. Meaning, you’ll be loaded with excess water. As your body processes them the water is then release out of the body BUT, if you are trying to look your leanest, it’s best to keep your carbs at a lower amount.
