Adele’s Weight Loss – 5 Fitness Tips From This Timeless Artist

Have you seen Adele lately?   She’s looking better than ever!  Adele’s weight loss isn’t just about diet and exercise, it’s also a new perception on life.

How Did Adele Lose Weight?

Her 50 pound weight loss, post baby is due in part to a huge change in her diet and exercise.  She’s adopted a mostly vegetarian eating plan and a new running workout.

“I’m trying to be veggie,” said Adele. “I have to be really healthy and stuff like that. I can find another way of getting all the stuff out of meat you need. I hate that tofu stuff, though. It’s rank. Whenever I’m about to eat meat, I always see my little dog’s eyes.”

The inspiration for this huge diet change was motivated in part by Adele’s fiance, Simon Konecki.

Body Image Isn’t An Issue

Her inspiration for weight loss wasn’t about body image. Adele’s consistent size 14 – 16 frame has never been an issue for her and she’s always been proud of her figure. She’s by no means a workout fiend but she has adopted a regular routine that works best for her.

“If I was affected by my weight, I could easily lose some now,” she said. I’ve got enough money for a personal trainer or nutritionist [but] I’m not going to stop eating the food I like just because I can’t be bothered to exercise … My life is full of drama and I won’t have time to worry about something as petty as what I look like (source).”

While her previous quotes talk about not cutting foods out Adele has made some huge changes that have affected her weight.  For instance, she used to sip on a steady stream of tea everyday.  While that may not seem like a big deal, she tipped the tea pot up to 10 times a day with sugar and cream in each cup.  She’s even decided to cut it out completely saying, “Now I don’t drink it and I have more energy than ever.”

Her busy life demands an “on the go,” eating routine where she can stay healthy, lean and full of energy.  For that she uses pre-made meals from Pure Package.

She’s also made some additions to her weight training routine, adding free weights, her favorite cable machine exercises, and Tabata training.

Adele has been working with former triathlete Pete Geracimo. He has her lifting weights and doing intense interval training called Tabata. Adele also uses a circuit program called Modified Strongman Workout.

Modified Strongman Workout is one of the fastest and most efficient ways of getting results,” Geracimo said. “It trains a wide cross-section of muscle groups and is very effective in boosting your metabolism and fat burning (source).”

Kicked the Habit

While Adele may not be worried about how her weight is affecting her health, she is worried about smoking.

‘If I’d carried on smoking I’d probably have died from a smoking-related illness and I think that’s really bad (source).’
She also quit smoking to preserve her vocal cords.  With that she also cut down on the booze.

5 Fitness Tips to Gather From Adele’s Weight Loss

1.) Ditch the Liquid Calories – Decreasing her teas and alcohol have helped her lean down fast!

2.) Workout with a combination of weights and cardio.

3.) Find a way to eat balanced meals filled with lean proteins, moderate carbs, and healthy fats.

4.) Body Shame isn’t a true motivator.  Feeling better about yourself, your health, and your future are!

5.) Ditch the unhealthy habits.  Feeling better is key to moving more and enjoying your life as a whole.

 

Adele is a true inspiration for change and evolution.  Her perception of health has transformed her from the inside out.
