You see the commercial every time you watch tv… but does the bowflex really work? Get the background info on this highly advertised piece of equipment and whether it’s right for you!
PROS
-
The newer versions of this product are more compact and easy to store if you have a 4 x 4 foot space.
-
The bows give you continuous resistance (much like the big nautilus equipment at the gym).
-
Since this equipment only uses bows for resistance; you don’t have various pieces scattered all over your house
-
YES, it does actually work!!! I have one at home…. it does work!
-
For people who hate the gym, but love to work out, the bowflex can work every body part.
-
Because the bows allow for continuous resistance, this makes for a better workout with increased calorie burning and controlled repetitions.
CONS
-
You actually have to USE the equipment to get results. This means making a routine and sticking to it! You don’t want a 2,000 piece of equipment to be a glorified coat rack!
-
It is somewhat large. You can’t fold these piece of equipment up and hide it under your bed …. so u must have adequate room to store this.
-
It can tend to get boring doing the same routines over and over. If you have a background in fitness you can get really inventive and use you imagination to add to the other bowflex exercises (listed in the book that comes with the equipment).
-
NEVER GET THERE FINANCING!!!! It has a horrible interest rate! Avoid this at all costs!
I don’t have a lot of negative things to say about the Bowflex. If you have the discipline to stay on a routine and use it, then it will work for you! Don’t forget that you must change your eating to see real results…. this is true for any weight loss/ muscle gain routine.
