Oops She Did it Again – Britney Spears Weight Loss

After having two children, pop star Britney Spears has made a come back! Her physique has become fine tuned through both diet and exercise. In the entertainment industry, that’s to be expected! Britney Spears weight loss could inspire you to make some pivotal changes in your own health and fitness.  She was able to shed those pounds by applying a low-carb diet, plenty of yoga and some interesting techniques on the treadmill.

Britney has shared her progress with her fans through social media, showing off her well-toned abs. What’s her secret? Well, it was a high-fat, high-protein, low-carb diet.  Think Ketogenic diet and Atkins.

Through low carb eating she also embraces plenty of whole foods, such as eggs, beef, chicken, salmon, broccoli and much more. If you haven’t jumped on the low carb bandwagon, here’s a great example of what a day in the life could look like. You could have an omelet with vegetables in the morning for breakfast, a shrimp salad for lunch and grilled chicken with vegetables for dinner.

When keeping up with a low carb diet, you should avoid things like sugar, trans fats, highly processed foods, whole grain products, breakfast cereals and vegetable oils. However, Britney doesn’t deprive herself of sweets or starchy food, and will indulge every now and again. To balance it all out, she makes sure to keep a consistent carb free diet outside of the cheat days.

Along with strict eating, Britney Spears also has a pretty solid fitness routine. Simple cardio workouts like running on the treadmill while simultaneously lifting weights.  This helps to keep her arms, shoulders, and back toned while her legs are getting a workout. This interesting combination allows her to burn more calories as well as preserve her lean thighs.

Britney has also added yoga into her fitness routine. She has a personal trainer whom she meets with in Los Angeles two times a week and does a series of yoga poses throughout a 60 to 90 minute-long session. Yoga has a number of benefits, which include building muscle strength, improving flexibility, and boosting the immune system.
