Could Laser Be The New Lipo? – Zerona Laser Zaps The Fat

I have never been a big advocate for liposuction, tummy tucks, or any invasive surgery to shed weight.  I have had my own struggles with gaining weight due to a thyroid problem and food allergies but have used exercise and calorie management to lose naturally.  Regardless of my views on weight loss, there are TONS of people out there who are willing to spend the extra money to get trim.  The Zerona Laser (featured on Dr. Oz) seems to be the safest, the most non invasive, and with the least down time.

With just 40 minutes on the table, a Zerona Laser – a treatment for both men and women – will zap the fat without any bruising, scars or downtime.

“You literally put your business suit back on and walk out the door and you are able to address your day,” Collins said.


As with any weight loss procedure, you can’t go home and eat whatever you want, hoping that you continue to lose. The Zerona laser works by opening the cells and allowing the fat to leak out.  Once out of the cell, the body flushes it from the system.  Unlike lipo, the fat cells are not being removed.  In Order to keep the fat from returning you must exercise and eat right.

While new weight lose procedures are preventing  people from doing more dangerous and harmful surgeries, they aren’t always the answer.   Regardless of which surgery or laser treatment you chose, you will always have to eat right and exercise to keep the fat from coming back.  There isn’t a quick fix to looking good.  You must invest the time and the effort on a consistent basis to maintain the body that you desire.
