Wait! Don’t answer that! I’m talking about food, not your personal life. I love you all, but I do not wish to know about your personal endeavors. Sorry, but let’s keep it light. Light and fit..like Dannon. Okay, I’m stopping, BUT, seriously, do you have a cheat day/ meal(I know some Paleo people only do a couple of meals a week)?
I do. I had such an amazing cheat DAY Sunday, yes day, I’m doing the Tim Ferriss 4 Hour Body remember?! Any who, my cheat day was epic, I literally almost made myself sick, but did you know that your body needs that?
It’s true.
FitTip Fact #1: When you give yourself a designated cheat meal then you will boost your metabolism. Yup. I know, who doesn’t want that? Fact is, when you’re on a reduced calorie diet your metabolism slows down. Your body thinks you’re starving yourself so it does anything to survive, like slow down. So when you cheat once a week then you send the signal, “I’m still eating bad s$#*.” So your metabolism speeds back up and fat loss goes into effect. Cheat. Cheat now.
I can hear some of you now, “Bianca, I don’t want to gorge all day, that’s a little excessive.” Okay, I can tell you from experience that when I have my cheat day, I don’t feel bad about it, at all. It’s my one day to cheat and it actually makes it easier for me to stick to my diet during the week knowing that I just ate really bad for a day, or that I’m about to eat bad. So, cheat. Cheat now.
FitTip Fact #2: This coincides with what I just said, but if you cheat once a week you won’t have as many food cravings. Think about it, if you don’t have a cheat meal/day then you’ll eventually miss the sweet taste of bread, or sweet potato fries, or fried oreos, or regular Oreos for that fact. So please cheat. Cheat right now…if you’ve decided for this day to be your cheat day. Mine is Sunday, but I know people like Saturday because they like to call it Fat-urday. Do what you will, but remember to cheat. Once a week. Seriously. Your body will thank you. Cheat!
Happy Cheating(I’m only talking about food.),
Bianca
