So, last night I didn’t sleep very well.
JLo is said to sleep at LEAST 8 hours per night.
The End.
Jus kidding!
But seriously, I sleep very well most of the time. So this morning it was confusing as to why I didn’t sleep very well.
Now, maybe last night I didn’t sleep very well because I didn’t eat much yesterday. When I say I didn’t eat much, I mean like, very, very little.
I blame my organic coffee!
Well folks, if your body lacks nutrients then it’s not going to sleep very well. I think it’s safe to say I was lacking some nutrients in my diet yesterday and perhaps I need to look at my current eating regiment/ regular “LA diet” of not eating enough some days, AKA every other day.
Do you blame me? I’m an actress, I’m judged everyday on my exterior and my body is an integral part of that.
Fitness Fact : A too-extreme diet lacks nutrients that help you get a good night’s sleep, so you toss and turn instead.
Ugh.
SOOOOOO what is deemed as too extreme?
Fitness Tip #1: Do not think about your food 24/7.
Obsession is not your friend!
“If you keep a running tally of your calorie intake in your head and constantly ruminate over meals you’ve had or plan to eat, you’re unhealthily obsessed.”
Says Nancy Clark, M.S., R.D., a Boston-based sports nutritionist and author of Nancy Clark’s Sports Nutrition Guidebook.
Fitness Tip #2: Don’t cut out an entire food group!
Cutting out an entire food group like carbs, makes the number go down on the scale, BUT it also makes your nutrient levels go down like b vitamins that help keep your mood steady.
Last, but not least…
Fitness Tip #3 of the day: You’re not socializing!
If you avoid going out because you can’t be at a certain place because of the food available/present, then you have a P.R.O.B.L.E.M. You should be able to eat anything anywhere within your healthy diet.
Do you hear me out?
I’m mostly writing this post for yo…ME!
Sleepy,
Bianca
