Ellie Goulding Partners With Nike to Create Training Program

British pop star, Ellie Goulding is helping all of her fans get fit this year by partnering with Nike to produce a training app.

Elllie, who is a consistent runner, has helped Nike produce a 15 minute workout routine for their Nike+ training club app.  The workout is a full body routine with some of her favorite moves.

Goulding says, “I feel quite proud to be an ambassador for women who realize that being fit is better than being skinny.

“I like the fact that I can be that role model. I still think there’s a little bit of work to do with promoting fit, not thin. But it’s getting there.”

She also states that one of the most important things about working out is having a balance of high intensity days and low intensity days.

“I think having a yin and yang with exercise is the important thing for me. I love to do high intensity training, but I also love to take it easy. I say take it easy, but doing yoga is not easy. Doing something different every day keeps things fresh, exciting and interesting.”

This is not Ellie’s first business deal with Nike.  In 2013 she created her own fitness shoe and took part in the Nike Women Half Marathon in Washington, D.C.

   I love her take on the new “revolution” in fitness.   Of course, I completely agree with “fit” over “skinny.”  The waif look is out and muscle is in!   If you love what Ellie has to say then spread the fitness love by commenting, sharing, and posting this article.
