Exercise of the Week – Badass Pushup With Shoulder Tap

Pushups require a large amount of muscles to perform each repetition.  This makes them a great exercise to burn up a lot of calories quick!  If you are short on time, or you just want to burn more calories in your exercise routine, then this is the exercise for you!   This exercise of the week (pushup variation), can be done on your knees (for beginners) or on your toes for the more intermediate and advanced.   While this isn’t a one arm pushup, it could lead you into advancing towards that type of strength.

Benefits of Pushups:

 

What are the benefits of push ups? Pushups allow you to train and build stability in a variety of muscle groups. This can help you avoid injury during day to day activities or other forms of athletic training, particularly if you perform pushups the right way.

Trainer tip:   Remember to keep you core (abs) tight so that you don’t fall over while balancing on one arm to tap your shoulder.  Squeeze your glutes (butt) to keep your hips up.
