Get Posh With It, Play Tennis!

Seriously. I just got a new hobby everyone and it’s making me more svelte AND it’s got a very sophisticated feel. Yup, I’m talking about tennis.

Just so you guys know a little back story on me and tennis here is the abbreviated version. Basically, I was going to be the next Serena Williams, minus the muscles, and I got one bad note from my second grade teacher, ONE bad note! Well, my mother pulled me out of tennis forever that fateful day. Forever. My pro tennis days were over.

Fast forward to today and my tennis skills from the tender age of 7 are still in tact.

But, there are a lot of benefits to playing a little tennis, physical AND mental!

FitTip Fact#1: There’s so much stopping and starting, kind of like sprints, and that results in some serious leg muscle toning.

If you have a competitive tennis opponent then they’ll try to get you to go from one end of the court to the other in hopes of not making it to the opposite end in time and missing the ball. But, we will embrace that tactic because it’ll give use more of a work out!

Listen, I just want to get my work out in every day without feeling like I’m working out. I played tennis for 45 minutes yesterday and I was burning up a sweat and barely noticed the time lapse. Um, #winning.

FitTip Fact #2: Those that play tennis had higher self esteem and had lower levels of anger, depression and anxiety.

Your mind has been blown. I know.
