Creamy Avocado Pasta Sauce
Ingredients For Creamy Avocado Sauce
1 medium sized ripe Avocado, pitted
1/2 lemon, juiced + lemon zest to garnish
2-3 garlic cloves, to taste
1/2 tsp kosher salt, or to taste
1/4 cup Fresh Basil
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 servings/6 oz of your choice of pasta
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions For Creamy Avocado Pasta
1.) Cook your pasta until it’s al dente. Usually 8 -10 minutes.
2.) While the pasta is cooking, start making the sauce by placing the garlic cloves, lemon juice, and olive oil into a food processor. Blend that until it’s smooth. Next add the pitted avocado basil and salt. Blend in the food processor until smooth.
3.) Once the pasta is cooked, rinse and drain, then add the avocado sauce right away. Toss the pasta in the sauce until it’s evenly coated. Add black pepper to the top and serve while hot if possible.
This creamy avocado recipe is extremely versatile. You can add lean meat for extra protein. You can also change the pasta to brown rice pasta to make it gluten free, and you can change up the spices.
