Fall is just around the corner and with that comes not the most ideal weather. If you’re anything like me, you see a drop of rain and you instantly want to stay indoors, put on a movie and do nothing. Work outs don’t even cross your mind. Luckily for me I live in California, Southern California that is, so I really don’t have to deal with too many rainy days. But let’s be honest sometimes even when it’s just over cast you don’t have any motivation and those days are coming being that we’re well into September.
So as far as work outs go, do they become obsolete?
Not here at Fittipdaily!!!!!
Here are some fun things to do indoors that get you moving and get your work outs going.
1st: Warm yourself up! Chances are if it’s gloomy outside it’s a little cooler than normal so your body isn’t as limber and open. Remember being a kid and doing Jumping Jacks? Well bring those Jumping Jacks back! Try doing them for 1 minute straight, this is a great warm up and cardio exercise.
I’m not a runner, but I can jog and I enjoy it. Sometimes I don’t want to Jog because I don’t have a destination which then makes it hard for me to motivate myself. If the weather is beautiful I find a reason to Jog, but when it’s not so nice out what to do?
Jog In Place! All you need is to put on your favorite show and grab a good paur of shoes to alleviate your feet of any stress. I promise this one goes by fast and gets that heart rate up.
Are you thinking: “Well, Bianca I don’t have any weights at home.” That’s okay here’s a Light Weight Lifting Exercise:
Grab 2 objects of about the same weight. You can literally use anything. Start with lighter weights, like canned foods, then work your way up to heavier objects. You can use laundry detergent, milk jugs. Get creative. This becomes a game within your work out. You’ll be burning calories in no time and then you’ll be able to veg out on your couch and not feel guilty.
Happy Fall,
Bianca
