Kirstie Alley has struggled with her weight for some time. She hasn’t found a lasting weight loss routine or eating regimen to keep the weight off. Her most successful diet attempt was while she was the spokesperson for Weight Watchers. She went on to lose a whopping 75 pounds!!! She then left Weight Watchers to launch her own line of weight loss supplements. Next was her show, “Big Life,” which was more about her avoiding exercise and dieting.
Kirstie hopes to lose another 30 to 40 pounds while on the show. She has reportedly already lost 60 pounds on her own. Alley is counting on the strict dancing schedule to help her shed the extra pounds.
The American Cancer Society puts the number of calories burned during an hour of ballroom dancing at 370. That’s more than the same amount of time spent running or bicycling (source).
I am rooting for Kirstie! This extra push is what she needs to hit her goal and get the rest of her weight off.
