We look at research, genetics, calorie expenditure, and many more issues when it comes to weight gain; maybe we should look at things that are on the surface as well. Weight gain issues could also be as simple as your 5 senses.
You know that almost immediate urge to eat when you walk into a restaurant full of wonderful smells of bread, pasta, and meat. Even if you weren’t hungry before you went in; You are now! The same thing happens when you are eating a meal that is unbelievably good…. you over eat!
Your sense of smell and taste work together. They can either drive you to eat (along with your stomach), or keep you from eating things that aren’t pleasing. These are things that people know, yet they don’t really consider them when they have gained weight or are trying to lose weight.
The best thing for you to do when placed in a situation that may make you overeat is to SLOW DOWN. Process what you are eating and analyse how much you have eaten. Your senses may heighten your eating experience, but your brain won’t like it when you aren’t fitting into your “skinny jeans.”
