Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Takes On L.A. Schools

If you haven’t watched this show already, then it’s time you start!  Last season Jamie attempted to change the eating habits Huntington, WV. However, his efforts were met with mixed reviews.  The local radio station bashed him for trying to change their ingrained way of life.  This time around Oliver with be attempting to change the whole Los Angeles school system.  His goal is to challenge the LA school district so students have healthier food options.

We went to LA for two reasons: one, I didn’t want to go back to the next unhealthiest town in America, ’cause I didn’t want it to be seen as a format; two, there’s enough good sh*t going on in California, genuinely, amongst a lot of bad stuff. From a blatantly strategic point of view, if we can make any form of change in California . . . if anything happens in law . . . anything we achieve there will go across the whole of America (source).

After watching the trailer, it’s obvious that no mater where you live food can be the enemy.  I would have thought that sunny California would be more apt to change their food options then Huntington, WV.  It’s seems that’s not the case at all.  I’m sure this will be a VERY interesting season!  It premiers tonight, at 8/7c  on ABC.
