Diet books are a “dime a dozen,” but this diet book’s title is a total contradiction. Drinking and dieting have never gone together. The large amount of “empty calories” consumed while drinking combined with the chemical affect on your metabolism make dieting while being a drunk almost impossible. Lady Gaga’s boyfriend thinks he may have the answer in his new book “The Drunk Diet.”
The book tells Luc Carl’s story of losing 40 pounds while still drinking in excess.
“It’s an awe-inspiring tale of an ordinary rock ‘n’ roll guy who managed to transform a lifestyle based around whiskey and 5 a.m. cheeseburgers into a wildly successful fitness regime,” says a press release from the publisher (source).
While Luc swears you can lose weight while always drinking to excess, we know that excessive amounts alcohol can slow your reaction time, hinder you performance, slow your metabolism, and increase your calorie intake to staggering amounts. While this diet is not highly recommended it could be slightly entertaining.
