Loooking For The Fountain Of Youth? Here’s The Answer….

Billions of dollars are spent each year on beauty and anti- aging products.  Not only are people injecting animal hormones into their body but they are also under going risky surgeries to flatten their stomach, lose excess body fat and even implant fake muscle tissue such as, calves, pecs and glutes (Butt).  In recent news, Kanye West’s (rapper) mother under went a routine tummy tuck and liposuction and died later of complications from the surgery due to a thyriod problem (www.laragmag.com)

If you’re looking for the fountain of youth … look no further!!!   The answer is Lean Muscle Mass! The best way to rev up you metabolism and stay young is by gaining lean muscle mass.  This doesn’t mean you have to look like the Hulk, but you do have to workout and do a resistance training routine.  Not only does muscle keep you healthy, lean and strong; it also releases a hormone in your body called growth hormone commonly referred to as HGH.  This HGH IS THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH!  This hormone, most commonly taken in increased amounts by celebrities and body builders has the ability to make you look younger, rejuvenate cells, and increase your muscle mass.  This hormone is also released when you sleep … so don’t forget your beauty sleep!

Here is a quote from Dr. Steve Masely (M.D.) web page at www.tenyearsyounger.com

” To be younger, you also need to add resistance (strength) training to build lean muscle mass. Lean mass is the protein retirement fund that helps you fight infections, deter cancer, and burn fat. Muscles also make you look shapelier and sexier, especially when moving. To build muscle mass, select and strengthen twelve muscle groups (such as your quads, biceps, abs, and back muscles) and work them hard 2-3 times per week. You should be able to lift a weight at least ten times to prevent an injury, but if you can smoothly lift a weight more than sixteen times, it is too easy and you won’t build muscle. Studies have shown that you can improve your muscle mass by up to 10% in just ten weeks, and even people in their eighties have been shown to succeed.”

Here are some interesting Muscle Stats

“Boost your burning power. Did you know that for every 1 lb. Of muscle you gain, your body burns an extra 50 calories/day? If your burn off 5 lbs. of fat and add 5 lbs. of muscle instead, you’d burn an extra 250 calories/day. (www.myfit.com)”

‘Muscles are comprised of muscle fibers. Each fiber is thinner than a human hair and can support up to 1,000 times its weight (www.myfit.com).”

“Use it or lose it. By age 65, people who haven’t’ engaged in regular exercise may incur a decrease in their muscular strength level by as much as 80% (www.myfit.com).”

Don’t be a “cardio queen” at the gym, burn some real calories and hit the weights!

A Ali
