Music is one of those things that we always like to have on, but we don’t always have the time to put together into a play list. 8 track is a new app that allows you to pick music playlist that have already been created. You can also create your own. There’s also “sharing, liking, and commenting on playlists.” So you can create your own music community. This music app has everything!
What Make 8 Track So Different ?
Listen to any one of more than 800,000 digital mixtapes for any mood or occasion, from every genre and country. Each playlist is curated by someone who knows and loves music (source).
8 track is also similar to other apps like instagram and spotify because you can have followers. It also shows you who your following and your mixes. You don’t have to only listen to their predesigned lists, you can create your own mixes and then share them with your friends! You also don’t have to pay for music and it’s sung by the original artists. Other apps have loads of songs but other people singing them!
The lists of categories are very extensive to match your exact mood, there’s even a “divorce” playlist! Unlike other music apps, this one also has a “Motivation for success” channel that integrates motivational speeches. I think everyone needs motivational material in their life, so this was a HUGE plus.
If you are a workout fiend, like myself , this app will keep you listening to great tracks without having to compile a huge list of songs. You can simply pick a channel such as “cardio,” or “top tracks of 2013.” Hit play and off you go! The only down side to 8 Track is that you can’t skip too many songs in a row before the application stops you from moving forward. \
Overall, this app gets 4 1/2 stars from me!! I love the diversity of the play lists and it’s ability to match my exact mood. Not to mention it’s free! If you are in some serious need of some new workout music, download this app then give yourself 2 -3 days to find the playlists that you love! Then share them with your friends, and let the circle of music begin!
Keep it grooving,
Adria
