New Points App Gives Weight Watchers a Run For Their Money

July 24, 2015 by Adria Ali Leave a Comment

Weight Watchers has been hugely successful over the years.   They’ve also been able to change and adapt their program over time to make it simple, and effective.   Their app introduced a new era to Weight Watchers and taught the older generations new tricks 😉   It comes as no surprise that other companies and apps have begun to tap into the Weight Watcher’s market.   This competing points app just gave Weight Watchers a run for their money by releasing a shockingly similar product for a one time fee!

The average Weight Watchers dieter pays 19.99 per month.   With that, they have the option to attend support meetings, get support on the website, and or course they have access to their app.   While all of these can be critical to weight loss, many people are trying to stretch a buck OR they don’t have the means to pay their monthly fees.   The app “iTrackBites” allows you to track points in the same manor that you do with Weight Watchers but for a fraction of the cost.

Here’s what SFGate had to say about the new iTrackBites app.

“I’ve been using this app for a few months after years using Weight Watchers, and I can say quite plainly that it does nearly everything the official app does. And it’s just a one-time cost rather than monthly. It’s even built on what seems to be the Weight Watchers plan, complete with “Daily Points,” “Weekly Points,” “Activity Points,” and many other features.”

If you’re already using the Weight Watchers app and you are considering changing… here’s a sneak peak at the iTrackBites app via the SFGate website.

Here’s what the Weight Watchers points app looks like

Now Compare it the iTrackBites points app …

It’s easy to see that these points apps are similar in layout.   I think the real question comes down to, how much do you really need the outside support?   If you are one of those people that’s been doing Weight Watchers for years and you don’t need any guidance or support, this app could be a money saver for you.   If you are the reverse and you depend on the weekly meetings, the website and the nutritional counseling, you may opt to pay the monthly fees.

Regardless of your decision, tracking your food intake is a VERY import part of losing body fat and maintaining a healthy life style.  Choose the points app that suits you the best and commit to logging daily (even on the weekends)!   You will never regret taking care of your health.

Living Lean,

Adria
