Olive Garden Salad Recipe

One mention the Olive garden salad and people begin to crave the tangy, sweet, and rich flavors that make this classic a true crowd pleaser.  This popular salad seems to have the key ingredients to keep people coming back time and time again.  Who knew this recipe could be made at home for a fraction of the price, all the flavor, and at anytime you like!   Use this easy to follow Olive Garden salad recipe to cut out the middle man, impress your family and friends and enjoy this classic on your own schedule.

Olive Garden Salad Recipe

Salad 

  • 1 head of Iceberg lettuce
  • 3 peperochinis
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1/2 cups of carrots shredded
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 1/2 cup of Radicchio (purple cabbage) – should be washed and shredded
  • black olives
  • croutons

Dressing 

  • 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp of Hellmans canola oil mayo
  • 1 tsp of garlic salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of white vinegar
  • 2 1/2 tbsp of Pecorino Romano cheese, grated

 

Directions for Olive Garden Salad Recipe

Combine all ingredients for the salad into a bowl.  In a separate bowl combine all ingredients for the dressing.  Mix dressing well then toss with salad.  Enjoy with fresh bread stick for the true Olive Garden experience or keep them out for a low carb meal.

Fitness Tips

Don’t forget that you can use this dressing recipe with any type of salad.  For a nutrient packed dish, try substituting out the iceberg lettuce for dark leafy greens such as a spring mix or even a spinach salad.  Toss in some chicken or your favorite protein to increase the protein.
