I remember seeing Rihanna back when she sung her first album. Over time, we watched as she got smaller and smaller. Her now extremely slender appearance seems to be about 20lbs less then her original size. This star is now speaking out about unrealistic goals for women to be a size zero. Our friends over at Fit Celeb gave us this interesting quote via Britain’s “You Magazine.”
“You shouldn’t be pressured into trying to be thin by the fashion industry, because they only want models that are like human mannequins. They know that if we see an outfit on a mannequin in a shop window we will love it and want to buy it whatever size we are. That’s why they have size zero models – they want to sell clothes.
“You have to remember that it’s not practical or possible for an everyday woman to look like that. Being size zero is a career in itself so we shouldn’t try and be like them. It’s not realistic and it’s not healthy.”
Personally, I think women believe that everyone wants a girl that is stick thin. However, as you get older you realize that people actually like all kinds of body types. Big, small, curvy or lanky, there is always going to be someone who is attracted to your individual shape and size. To be an individual is to be confident in who you are and how you were made.
