The Best Diet Rules To Break!

If you have time to watch this video below, they have some interesting points!  Since every fitness professional and nutritionist have their own way of thinking, we will fill you in on ours as well.

NO Midnight Snacks: There shouldn’t be a lock on your fridge after 6.  However, when you eat late at night it usually keeps people awake                               longer.    Not only that, it doesn’t give you time to work off the calories you have consumed.  Don’t make a habit out of eating late.  Eat                         your  calories during the day!

All Calories Are Equal – We agreed with the news caster.  All calories are NOT equal.  Eating foods with more vitamins and minerals which are                      derived from healthy sources can make a HUGE difference.   You can be a junk food eater and consume 1,600 calories a day and be                               tired and bogged down or you can eat 1,600 calories from healthy sources full of vitamins and minerals and be full of life and energy.

Skipping Meals Will Help You Lose – Wrong!  Skipping meals will actually slow your metabolism.  Skipping meals could also lead to binge                             eating.  People tend to overcompensate for the meal they did miss by eating more at the next meal.

All Carbs Are Bad – Just as with calories, not all carbs are equal.  You need them to fuel your body and your brain.  However, you need to avoid                        ones that come from refined foods such as white flours and sugars.  Reach for carbs that come from vegetables such as, squash, sweet                          potatoes, brown rice, whole wheat pastas and low glycemic fruits.
