Today I went to Runyon Canyon with my Gas-bund(Gay Husband) and I was thinking, “This place is awesome!”
Runyon has gotten a bad wrap because it’s kind of like the Hollywood Disneyland.
You see Celebrities, Douche Bags, Barbie’s, Hipster’s, you get the picture!
But, I just want to say, I love seeing Celebs!
I’m not ashamed! Shoot if it’s good enough for Matthew McConaughey and his wife, then it’s good enough for me!
Talk about beautiful mountain views!
FitTip Fact #1: Runyon Canyon is 3 miles long!
So that’s around 300 calories burned, depending on the intensity level!
FitTip Fact #2: There are 3 paths at Runyon!
Yup. You can do the “hard level”, which is hardly a path and sometimes you’re literally crawling up the mountain. You can do the “stairs”, which is stairs at first then dirt hills and small mountains. Last, but not least, you can do the path way, which is at a constant incline, but easy and still a decent work out.
DISCLAIMER: If you are looking for some solitude on Runyon do NOT go on the weekends. I repeat do NOT go on the weekends. More like Monday at 7 am.

Griffith Park Trails
This trail can take you all the way up to the Hollywood sign and it’s definitely the more rugged hiking path in LA.
FitTip Fact #1: Less than a mile round trip.
This is a faster, easier hike, they have a nicely paved path unlike Runyon’s rocky/pot hole paths.
