The Tops 5 Fruits For Weight Loss

It’s weight loss season, it’s also the best time to buy your fruits!!!   We know that eating fruits and vegetables  is good for our health.  Which ones are the most beneficial for weight loss???  Here are our top 5 picks to keep you lean while you enjoy the summer heat.

Berries – Any berry is beneficial due to it’s high antioxidant levels which ward off cancer and contain low amounts of sugar.  They make great snacks and have fiber to fill you up and keep your blood sugar level.

Pears – This amazing fruit has the ability to fill you up fast due to it’s high fiber content.  Each Pear contains 4 grams of fiber which keeps you full and levels out your blood sugar.

Citrus Fruits (Oranges, grapefruit etc) – All these types of fruit have a low glycemic index (low sugar content).  This low carb fruits can curb your hunger for sugar while, hydrating you and keeping you full.

Melons – This hydrating fruit has the ability to fill you up fast!  It’s perfect for those hot days on the beach or river and it’s low calorie!

Cherries – You would assume that this fruit was a bad choice based on the it’s level of sweetness.  Yet, it is low on the glycemic index!

Not all fruits and vegetables are created equal!  Chose wisely so that these “healthy foods” don’t affect your blood sugar and cause more harm then good!  Make not of this list and use it next time you are in the grocery store.
