Pinkberry has grown in popularity due to the amount of press this new tasty yogurt has gotten. So I wanted to know… just how healthy is Pinkberry for you???
Overall, I thought this sweet treat was pretty healthy. The only thing that seemed unhealthy was the amount of sugar there was in each serving. One serving contained roughly 20 grams of sugar! If you look at the nutrition facts; a small cup of yogurt is 1.5 servings. This means there is 30 grams of sugar in one small cup. This isn’t counting any toppings that you might add.
30 grams of sugar is like eating 2 tablespoons of pure cane sugar!
My advice when eating Pinkberry is to eat it early in the day so you have time to burn off the carbohydrates. Also, avoid adding topping to this sweet treat. On the positive side, Pinkberry is one of the lowest fat treats out there and it’s definately better then eating a pint of full-fat ice cream.
