The average American gains between 5- 10 pounds during the holiday season .. Don’t let it be you! One pound of fat contains 3,500 calories. This means that 5 to 10 pounds of weight gain amouts to between 17,500 – 35,000 extra calories. It could take you months to shed this excess body fat! Forget new years resolutions and start now!
Here are some helpful tips to survive the holidays…
1.) Try eating a small snack before you go to your holiday functions.
2.) Drink plenty of water this will not only keep you full but it will also help you to
flush out excess sugars and salts.
3.) Don’t Ditch your routine! Just because it gets darker earlier doesn’t mean you need to retire sooner.
4.) When approaching the food tables go for the vegetables first.. fill up on those before you even attempt to look at the dessert. Remember alcohol is empty calories.
5.) Wear snug clothing. This will help you to stay aware of your body and keep you from overindulging.
Stay focused during the holiday season so that you don’t hate yourself come January.
