Tom Cruise Teams Up With Beckham To Get Lean

    Tom Cruise has steadily grown that “daddy gut” ever since the birth of his new daughter.  His new friendship with David Beckham has inspired a new love of health and fitness. 

A toned and trim Tom Cruise looked like a young man again as he embarked on a publicity campaign for his latest film Valkyrie yesterday.

Cruise, who was recently pictured looking a few pounds heavier, seemed to have shed his excess weight ahead of the interview on the Today Show in New York.

Superstar actor and general nutbar Tom Cruise made a recent public appearance. That fact, in and of itself, certainly isn’t news, but what caught the eyes of reporters was the fact that Cruise is looking slimmer than he has in the past few years. Weight Takes Years Off His Appearance, proclaims The Daily Mail and while scary skinny is never a good thing, in Tom’s case, I have to agree.

So how has Tom trimmed down? With help from a friend, a very famously-fit friend. According to Healthy Hollywood, David Beckham has been helping Tom shape up in his home gym, and Tom’s been sticking to strict diet of 1,200 calories a day, leading to a 10-pound weight loss in six weeks. No wonder — 1,200 calories is not very much food (source).

 

     Decreasing your calorie intake to 1,200 is definitely NOT recommended.  Eating 1,200 calories is just enough to run your bodily functions.  By doing this you are sure to lose muscle mass and slow down your metabolism.
