I know, the title of my post is not the most positive one, but “Lez Be Honest”, like the cool kids say, I’m trying to keep your waistline in check this 4th. It’s not your cheat day, it’s just a Thursday!

I know this sucks, BUT BBQ sauce gets its sweet kick from SUGAR! The evil 5 letter word.
Do I need to say more?
Ok, but I want to!
BBQ sauce has 6-10 grams of sugar in just 1 tablespoon. Imagine how many table spoons are used on those delicious baby back ribs that are DRENCHED in BBQ sauce?!
#2 Food to avoid…..CORN.
Corn is evil. I have one word for you: Monsanto.
Corn is in everything, and unless it is 100% organic, your body associates it as a carb because it’s NOT a vegetable, but a grain!
Also, it has no nutritional value. Like, none.
#3 food to avoid Cake.
Yeah, I know, this one isn’t surprising. Honestly though, cake is just…fatty.
Don’t cry. I hate this fact too.
BUT, there’s always pie!
Eat some pie today. Seriously, pie is better than cake because:
A: Not as fatty
B: Fruit is a better sugar, and most pie’s are based around fruit.
C: Less preservatives in Pie.
