Want To Lose Weight? Grab Some Protein Now!

Do you eat protein with every meal? Do you eat at least 30 grams of protein for breakfast? If you answered yes, then you probably know what I’m about to say…you SHOULD be eating protein with every meal and you SHOULD eat 30 grams of protein every morning!

First off, I want to admit that I didn’t always care if I ate protein with every meal, I barely found out what a protein shake was a couple of years ago. So don’t worry, I’m here to assist you into that size you’ve been dying to get to or that BMI you would love to see. I’m not a miracle worker, but I know that eating a protein rich can lead to a more svelte body. I’m proof.

So let’s start with Breakfast! This is my favorite meal of the day, I look forward to my protein shake like a druggie looks forward to their next fix. No joke. I like Lifetime Life Basics.


This Chocolate flavor is my FAV!!!!! It’s gluten free, has only 5 carbs and 5 grams of sugar, AND it’s loaded with Omega 3, 6 and 9! It’s delicious, trust me. Right now I have the Vanilla flavor at home, which is just as good, it’s not the best one but I have a great recipe that makes me as satisfied as the Chocolate!

*7 ice cubes
*1/2 a cup of almond milk
*1/4 cup blueberries
*1 1/2 scoops of Life’s Basic protein powder(35 grams of protein)

And voila! Deliciousness! That’s my current Vanilla flavor recipe. If you get the Chocolate just substitute the blueberries for half a banana and you will be in chocolate heaven.

Now, I’m sure you’re thinking starting your day with 35 grams may seem like a lot of protein but that’s okay. Protein takes a lot more work for your body to break down so studies have shown that consuming all that protein to start your day, energizes you and keeps you fuller longer. You’re then less likely to reach for that piece of chocolate on the receptionist’s desk on the way to your office, hence WEIGHT LOSS! YAY!

Now don’t get all cray and start eating huge meals and tell yourself you’ll be losing weight because you’re eating more protein. You still need to watch your calories. Eating protein with every meal just makes your carb intake lessen due to the fullness you’ll feel. So reach for a shake, eggs(just the whites) or nuts and keep up your active lifestyle and you’ll be writing me thank you notes in no time.
