Crossfit is the trendy fitness exercise/regiment of 2013. You probably have friends that do “burpees” on occasion, but not like in crosffit when you do 20 and repeat them 5 times.
This new trend is taking fitness to the next level, by keeping it simple AND intense.
It’s all about intense training to get your body to jump from flinny(flabby and skinny) to toned.
Let’s talk about the reasons you should do Crossfit.
FitTip Fact #1: You will have energy. Even though you’ll probably be suuuupppeeerrr sore from your crossfit work out, you’ll have more energy because:
1: You’re not carrying around as much fat ANd
2. You’re breathing easier!
You’re putting less wear and tear on your cardiovascular and pulmonary systems and the dividend is you can keep up with your kids, dogs, boy toys and accomplish more each day. The confidence and happiness that comes along with this is self-explanatory.
FitTip Fact #2: You’ll become insanely good at counting!
I know, this one is laughable, but you will hold on to your every number and get giddy when counting down from 5, 4 3, 2, 1, DONE! Seriously though, you’ll have conversations in your head when you’re literally saying, “One down, a quarter of the way through, I’ll take a breath when I’m 3/4th’s done.”
FitTip Fact #3 Crossfit is competitive.
It’s always easier for me to get through a work out, when I know the person next to me is killing it and going for it, it makes me want to kill it too! Competitiveness is good, it motivates, makes time go by quicker and to be honest it’s addicting. Who doesn’t want to excel?! Being the best is fun!
