You Won’t Believe These 5 Dangerous Ways to Lose Weight

 People will go to great lengths to lose weight.   However many weight loss plans are touted at “safe” and “fast.”  Yet no one is actually reviewing them or giving feedback.   Very few are backed by research and even fewer are actually good for you.   So what’s the trade off?  Lose weight and be “healthier” or go to extremes and damage your body?   Here are 5 dangerous ways to lose weight.

 

1.) Apple Cider Vinegar Diet

The Apple Cider Vinegar Diet is very common yet people forget that vinegar has such a strong acid that it can actually burn through your soap scum in the shower, or remove heavy mold.   Are you sure you want to gulp down 3  tablespoons a day or ingest multiple pills??    Don’t forget that the heavy acid can also damage your teeth!

The diet is as followed:  Before each meal, drink down 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar.  It claims to cut your cravings and help you burn fat.  However, this stuff can burn through your esophagus and stomach lining.  Who wants to lose weight if you have to be on pills for a new ulcer or you’ve lost the ability to swallow!

2.) Cotton Balls For Weight Loss

Yes, you read right!  People have been known to fill their stomachs up with cotton balls to keep from over eating.   This helpful tip has been used by models, and dancers for years!   While cotton is a great thing to wear it’s not digestible by your stomach.  It can harm your intestines in the long run.   Maybe some nice chia seed pudding would be a better idea.  Sure, it has calories but it does pretty much the same thing.

 

3.)  Breatharianism 

Not sure what it is?  Me either so I googled it for you.

Breatharianism is the old/new age idea that one can live without food and drink, and subsist only off of “pranic light.” According to practitioners, pranic light is accurate, channelled information from a huge invisible spaceship hovering over North America.[1]

Yep, you’re basically starving – I think we should rename it anorexia.  The spaceship is just an added bonus.

 

4.)  Cigarettes

   This ancient “treat” was mostly done by men.   Then, after the 1920s, cigarette companies noticed that they had a huge untapped market, WOMEN.  From then on cigarettes were advertised as an appetite suppressant.   All ads showed sleek, gorgeous men and women smoking.   Actresses and Actors were paid in movies to smoke particular brands.   The world became brain washed, one ad at a time.  While it’s true that nicotine and cigarettes do act as an appetite suppressant, they also make you look old and slow you down.   No activity = a frail, fat body.

 

5.)  Ear Stapling

    No, I’m not talking about acupuncture, although this was loosely based on this idea.  A staple is literally punctured into the ear and then left there for several months at a time.  The idea is that this will help keep your appetite in check.  There is no actual science behind this theory.   While your waiting for the staple to “kick in,” it could be causing serious damage to your health.  Infections and scaring are just some of the highlights.
