It takes days to gain inches and weeks (if not months) to lose them! Most people know that one pound equals 3,500 calories. That means that one big meal could add a pound to your frame.
1.) Use spray olive oils and other oils
It seems simple but people underestimate how much oil they are really using on their foods. Whether it’s “healthy” oils or not it’s still calories and fat and they add up fast! Using a pump sray of a store bought olive oil spray allows you to cut calories and fat quick!
2.) Drain Your Meats
Calories are everywhere! They sneak in through even the healthiest foods! Drainng the oils out of your meats before you add them to dishes can remove hundreds of calories. Over the week this can lead to thousands! Cook your meats then drain the oils into the trash or a cup (it might clog your drains).
3.) Cut the Yolks
If you love eggs and omelets then cutting down on your yolks can make a huge difference. Remember that the yolk has the most amount of fat and the most amount of calories. If you are using it for a recipe, there are loads of ways to substitute the yolk for something else. Whether it apple sauce or egg substitute.
4.) Just say no to liquid calories
This seems like a “no brainer” but even if you aren’t drinking juice and soda, these could be finding a way into your diet. Most underestimate the amount of creamer they use in their coffee, how much milk they add to their cereal and what they are adding to their healthy protein shakes. Take a minute to think about everything you drink then analyze how you can alter it and change it for the better.
5.) SUGAR SUGAR SUGAR
You don’t need it so find ways to cut it down and cut it out. My favorite substitute is stevia. However, not the kind you normally see thats cut with out sugars like dextrose. I use the “sweet leaf” brand and it’s probably the most clean sugar substitute you can buy. You can use it in everything but make sure you use less. It’s strong and the wrong brands can be bitter. Once you take out or cut down your sugars you will see quick results.
